January 31, 2011 - Senate to Consider Mandatory Training and Credit Monitoring for Government Data Breaches

On Monday, January 31, 2011 at 1:15, State Capitol, Room 016, the Hawai'i State Senate Committees on Economic Development & Technology and Judiciary and Labor will hold a hearing on SB 1162, which mandates training for government employees with access to personal information and mandates the provision of credit monitoring for victims of government data breaches. Class Counsel support the bill, but are recommending that a private statutory right of action be included.
